Provision of Central Services

As a Trust we take 5.5% of GAG (General Annual Grant – main income to the school) for secondary and 4 % for primary, to fund central services to enable us to provide:

  • Educational support and challenge: central subject leads and shared curriculum and assessment resources, central specialist leaders of education, central data lead, central compliance and policies lead, central EVC lead, central behaviour SEND and safeguarding leads
  • Monthly Principal update and training and development meetings
  • Central EWO support
  • Central finance support and audit, strategic HR lead, policy writing
  • Access to Browne Jacobson quick call legal advisers; Trust membership of Optimus Education, the Key and FASNA
  • Catering support through an Executive Catering Operations Officer and access to Trust Pelican procurement
  • Insurance procured across MAT
  • Facilities management, health and safety services and capital works which qualify under safe, warm and dry strategic estates plan (The MAT receives a capital allocation to support the Estate of more than five schools)
  • Fully managed IT service and support
  • Central classroom, website design and implementation, graphic design and print service
  • Central co-ordination of uniform contract where the school adopts the Trust uniform
  • Access to the Teaching School Alliance core offer
  • One shared INSET day per year
