A very warm welcome to Tudor Grange Academy Redditch. We are a mixed comprehensive High School admitting students to Year 9 through to Year 13. We also have a bespoke specialist provision, Tudor Grange Academy Treetops, which admits students from Year 7 with an EHCP stating a primary need of complex social communication and interaction difficulties including autism.

It is my privilege to take on the role of Principal at Tudor Grange Academy Redditch. I joined the school in 2016, firstly as College Leader and more recently as Head of School. I am committed to the continuous improvement of our provision and firmly believe in our community working together. Our school is staffed by a team of fantastic teachers and support staff, who are committed to learning and ensuring the very best opportunities for our students.

Our core purpose is to raise student aspirations and ensure that all our students have the best educational experience possible. As such, the Academy has high expectations of behaviour and standards (the TGAR way), placing great emphasis on pastoral care and close links with parents. Our small community allows students to thrive, allowing for successful learning and a place where students feel safe, confident, respected and valued. The TUDOR values of Tolerance, Unity, Democracy, Opportunity and Respect run through all aspects of academy life.

We want students to flourish during their time at the Academy, and we want them to leave the Academy and flourish for the rest of their lives. We have developed a knowledge-rich curriculum at Tudor Grange Academy Redditch that also enables students to develop complex skills, character, criticality and enjoy a range of positive experiences.

I hope the website gives you some idea about our community and the opportunities we have to offer. I would encourage anyone who would like to visit to do so.

We look forward to welcoming you to our community and meeting you.

Tudor Grange Samworth Academy is a mixed, all-through school for children from 2 to 16 years of age. As a Church of England school, Tudor Grange Samworth Academy is guided by a caring Christian ethos and maintains its close links with St Christopher’s Church.

On 1st January 2016, the school became a member of the Tudor Grange Academies Trust. Historical difficulties meant that the school needed expertise and help to remove it from the category of “special measures”. The school sought a partnership that would enable it to develop excellence in all areas and enable all to flourish.

As a school we strive for high standards in all that we do. Our pupils are encouraged to do their best in all aspects of school life. This stimulating, challenging atmosphere provides every opportunity for them to grow in confidence, to develop and succeed to their full potential, whilst learning independence and respect for others.

As a staff we have high standards as well. We constantly ask ourselves, ‘would this be outstanding for my child?’ We strive to say ‘yes’ to this question in everything we do.

Through our Values Education which threads itself through all aspects of our school life, our pupils comment that we are ‘like a family’, supporting and encouraging each other to succeed.

We are a community based school, with a family atmosphere. It is a school where every child is known as an individual and where our Governing Body, PTA and hugely supportive parent body play a central role in helping us to achieve what we want for our children; an outstanding education.
