Origin Maths Hub
Origin Maths Hub is one of the 40 national Maths Hubs in England, funded by the Department for Education and coordinated by the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM).
With nominated Lead School as Tudor Grange Academy Solihull, Origin Maths Hub is made up of a community of schools, colleges and other organisations, working collaboratively to develop and spread excelled practice in mathematics education, for the benefit of all students, teachers and schools in Solihull, Coventry and Warwickshire.
As well as offering opportunities to develop a whole school approach to maths, Maths Hubs also offer opportunities for individuals to improve and develop their own maths specialist knowledge to enhance and enrich their practice.
Emma Penn
Hub Lead
Emma Penn is an experienced mathematics teacher and leader. Currently she is leading Origin Maths Hub on behalf of the Lead School, Tudor Grange Academy Solihull.
She has led professional and school development in mathematics – within Tudor Grange Academy Solihull, across the Tudor Grange Trust, and across other local schools as part of the Maths Hubs network.
Origin Maths Hub works collaboratively with the aim of making sustainable and lasting changes that improve children’s and learners’ life chances by enhancing their experiences, attitudes and outcomes in learning mathematics.
