Tudor Grange Academy Solihull was delighted to welcome Andy Holding, Corporate Responsibility Manager, Birmingham Airport Ltd to meet students and staff in the “Wellness Garden” that the Airport kindly funded last year.

Andy Holding spoke to students and staff and was delighted with the impact of the project. According to Andy,  “We’re so pleased to be able to support the school in developing the Wellness Garden. It’s exactly the sort of scheme the Trust Fund was set up to help with, because it represents some of our most important priorities – education, environmental awareness and community wellbeing. I know the Trustees will appreciate all the hard work that staff and pupils have put into making it work and will be delighted to hear how well the project is progressing.”

TGAS College Intervention Co-ordinator, Mrs Payley was equally delighted with the success of the project, “We were really pleased to have a visit to our garden from a representative from Birmingham Airport, who had given us a grant last year.  It was with this grant that we were able to get the seating and enhance our space, so that we can use it for teaching about gardening, during Gardening Club, as well as having a calming space for THRIVE and pastoral interventions. Students have worked on the space to help improve it over the last year, so it was great to be able to show it off!”
