We are so pleased to have a full cohort of children ready to join us as Perdiswell’s new nursery opens for the first time this September. Following a successful open day in September and lots of positive interest from the local community, we will welcome children from the age of 3.

An ambition of Tudor Grange Academies Trust has been to offer all-through education for children aged 3 to 18 within Worcester. This is now a reality with the addition of the new nursery, enabling pupils to continue their education through to secondary school and sixth form at Tudor Grange Academies Worcester. 

School Principal, Oliver Norman said “My vision for the nursery is to provide high-quality teacher-led provision, supported by our extensive facilities, wonderful forest school, and strong teaching expertise. It’s a natural extension of the fantastic work our Early Years team already does in Reception.

“Our nursery children will enjoy a smoother transition into Reception, with an important focus on early reading and developing a love of stories. It will also help us to build strong, early relationships to support those crucial first steps for children and families from the very start of their school journey. We have a successful, happy environment here at Perdiswell and I am so pleased to be able to share it further.”

As you’ll know, the nursery is sited alongside the forest school which means our nursery children can spend a lot of time outside exploring and learning in this wonderful outdoor space – thoughtfully and carefully designed to engage and spark the children’s natural curiosity and playfulness.

Research shows that outdoor learning brings significant benefits to early development, from improving balance and coordination to supporting creativity, resilience, and self-regulation. Time spent in nature is also linked to lower stress levels in children.

We know that everyone within the Perdiswell school community is excited to extend our excellent provision further, creating an environment where the youngest pupils will thrive and learn through play, developing social skills, making friends, and being well prepared for school life beyond nursery.
